History & Notes: This iconic mid century swim suit belonged to Nell Irwin MacGregor. In 2009, Nell's daughter, Carol MacGregor, donated this piece and many other of her family's clothing to the Idaho State Historical Society.
Description: Turquoise one piece bathing suit with white spaghetti straps and boyleg bottom. Front is embellished with a white trimmed button front bib with two white covered buttons below each strap. White edging continues down the front of the suit and flares to the hips in a contour line. Front panel creates a slight skirting across the groin for modesty. Back center zip closure. Straps are adjustable at back. Fabric has a slight level of stretch.
