History & Notes: These Shoshone-Bannock objects are from the H. W. Evans Store at Fort Hall. Donor's great-grandfather H. W. Evans purchased the trading post store in 1912. Tribal members sold traditionally-made items in the store. The family owned and operated it until 1969 when donor's parents, Bill and Dorothy, retired and sold the business.
