History & Notes: Donor was told that the gauntlets were made by a member(s) of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe in the Blackfoot, Idaho area about 1924 for the donors uncle Albert B. Strahan from the hide of a deer killed by the donors grandfather.
Description: Pair of leather beaded gauntlets with fringe along external cuff seam. Cuffs are lined with red cotton fabric. cuffs have a pink, white, dark blue, light blue and green beaded elk with three pine trees. Cuff also has a thin light blue, dark blue, green and white beaded border. Back of glove has a light blue, pink and green beaded flower with two petals. Fringe on left gauntlet is longer in front and back gradually tapering towards center. small possible burn mark on end of undecorated side of left gauntlet.
