History & Notes: Worn by the grandmother of the donor on her wedding day in 1879.
Description: Covered wire frame lined with gray silk organdy and covered with net that was originally gold; gathered purple velvet edging with gathered gray silk organdy puff in front; small embroidered pattern in gray silk; gray straw braid edging and covering tiara; two gray velvet ribbons 34" long hangs down the back.
