History & Notes: This neoclassical inspired columnar gown was worn by Standard Oil heiress, Betty Stokes. Betty gave the gown to her good friend, Carol MacGregor, who donated the piece to the Idaho State Historical Society in 2013.
Description: Royal blue floor length gown of ruched chiffon over satin lining. Bodice features sweetheart neckline with one elongated chiffon shoulder strap which tacks down at the back and can then be draped as a scarf. Internally boned with back zip closure.
