History & Notes: Outfit worn by Louis Florentz at the 1963 inaugural ball held for Governor Robert Smylie at the Boise Junior College Gymnasium.
Description: Formal ensemble. Clutch bag with glittered gold and silver metallic material covering the exterior. Clasp is gold toned set with small white simulated pearls. Small mirror and comb included in the bag. High heeled shoes match the clutch and are covered in the same metallic net and glitter. Shoes feature sharply pointed toe. Interior is covered in reflective silver material marked with "DeLiso Debs, Designed by Palter Deliso." Floor length, sleeveless gown is of cream satin embroidered in various places with small seed pearls, silver sequins, and silver beads in a floral motif. Dress is fully lined with a mesh material. Net petticoat ties at waist with twill band and is flounced at hips to support the fall of the dress. Long white gloves of a sueded material fasten at the wrist with three small pearlescent buttons.
