Paul Revere Dick's Performance Suit

History & Notes: This glitzy ensemble was worn by Paul Revere and the Raiders headliner, Paul Revere Dick, for the band's 1968 appearance on Jack Benny's Carnival Nights. During the skit, Paul Revere and the Raiders perform their song "Him or Me" but are interrupted by Jack Benny, disguised as a violin playing raider in an attempt to evade the police. Paul leans over his keyboard to defend Jack-incognito, telling officers to "flake off and stop bugging" their "bass player." Paul kept many of his performance costumes, and after his death in 2014, his wife, Sydney, donated the suit to the Idaho State Historical Society.
