History & Notes: These shoes were given to the donor by her mother, Mrs. Van Peterson, who brought them with her from Wales from which she came when she was 9 years of age. She lived in the Wood River Country until about 1900 when she married and came to Boise.
Description: One pair of children's shoes. Black leather in a Welsh design. Fastening on front with hook type fastener fitting up over a self leather tongue. Soles and heels are wooden with metal stripping all around the sole and fastened with metal nails. Metal toe plates are fastened with round brads and like size brads continue around the shoe above the sole.
