History & Notes: According to donor: "The cap made by Polly Bemis was given to my mother-in-law as a gift when she and Ms. Jay Cizik visited her in the early 1920s while on a trip by horseback on the Main Salmon River." Jay Cizik had been one of Polly's boarders in Warrens, Idaho, and they remained close throughout her life.
