History & Notes: Belonged to mother of Mabel Brose Curtis (Mabel 1890-1970). Mabel's parents owned Brose farm north of Franklin, between Curtis and Allumbaugh roads.
Description: Skirt with interchangeable waist. Bodice is of damask fabric in a dark red and black design. It has long, cuffed sleeves, a short black stand up collar and yoke, vertical front folds and button closure up center front. Skirt of same material with slight train and asymmetric pleating at waist. Two interchangeable belts. Cummerbund of same material with hook and eye closure. Laced corselet in burgundy faille with black beaded lace trim.
