History & Notes: This three piece dress was worn by Minnie Romig Bellus, the donor's paternal grandmother.
Description: Three piece black and white linen dress. White ground fabric features a black geometric printed pattern. Bodice is fitted with three hand stitched vertical pleats on either side of the button closure.. Long sleeves with a lace frill at hem. 1/2" binding around neck. Center front button closure of 15 mother of pearl buttons. Unlined overskirt is full with a pleated waistline with 1/2" binding. Full length closure is faced with no hooks or buttons. Skirt is full with a gathered waist bound in 1" white cotton. Back closure with no hooks or buttons.
