History & Notes: This dress was worn by the donor's mother.
Description: Two piece bustle gown of mauve satin and velvet. Basque is long sleeved in satin and velvet with a Mandarin collar and pleating down front bodice. Lined in twill fabric with boning and stays. Label in back of neck reads "H.B. Litt. Portland, Oregon." Skirt is of same mauve colored satin and velvet with clusters of pleats over a portion of the skirt. Skirt features metal boning in the rear to support bustle.
